- Roasted chana dal is often used to make coconut chutney or curry.
- It may also be eaten simply as a snack or with tomato, cucumber, onion, red chilli powder, and lime juice. Chivda makes use of it as well.
- Before using it in recipes, it can also be powdered or roughly crushed.
- Roasted chana dal is an excellent source of manganese, folate, protein, dietary fibre, copper, phosphorus, and iron.
